He is based in Toronto ,Canada and has a vast expertise of over 35 years in the health /nutrition and wellness category. He has been involved in developing meal replacement products, and functional foods/nutraceutical products under private label health products for the North American marketplace. He completed his BSc degree in Food Science and Technology at Nairobi University, Kenya in 1982 and received a Commonwealth scholarship for CFTRI (UN/FAO) to do a Masters Degree in Food Tech,, India. He moved to Canada in 1988,and worked with Sunny Crunch Foods Ltd ,a leading and pioneering health and wellness company in North America He currently has his own consulting business working with various food companies developing new products in the health and wellness industry. Hitesh has travelled globally sourcing new products and has developed expertise in regulatory, R&D and innovation, sourcing and marketing of new products. He has also attended and presented at IFCON and IUFOST and has been a member of IFT and CIFST since 1982.Hitesh was one of the first batch to achieve Certified Food Scientist designation from IFT.
